The U.S. Embassy in Santo Domingo is seeking an individual for the position of Voucher
Examiner Team Leader in the Financial Management Office.

Basic Function of position
The incumbent is the team leader of a team of six voucher examiners. The incumbent is
responsible for managing and maintaining overall control of the Designated Billing Office (DBO),
and serves as the primary contact with the vendors. The incumbent receives and logs vendor
invoices and then assigns invoices for processing to all voucher examiners, including
himself/herself. The incumbent ensures that the voucher examiners have a balanced workload,
monitors their workload, and ensures that vouchers are processed in a timely manner. When
vouchers are not processed in a timely manner, the incumbent follows-up with the voucher
examiners to determine status of payment and what action may be required in order to facilitate
payment. The incumbent provides daily guidance, provides on the job training, answers
questions, mentors team members positively and constructively, and maintains a high level of
involvement in problem resolution. The incumbent serves as the premier expert on USG
disbursement regulations. The incumbent prepares the 1099 IRS documents for U.S. Citizens
(contractors, grantees) earning income from the USG in the Dominican Republic. The
incumbent prepares the quarterly ICASS workload counts for the vouchering cost center. The
