The U.S. Mission in Santo Domingo is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position
of Assistant Project Coordinator in the International Narcotics and Law Enforcement (INL)
Assistant Project Coordinator
Basic Function of Position
This position serves as the Assistant Project Coordinator for the INL Caribbean Basin Security
Initiative (CBSI) project, and will provide professional Project Management services in the
management and monitoring of more than $20 Million dollars of INL CBSI projects being
implemented in the Dominican Republic (GODR). Typically INL CBSI projects include
extensive training of the Government of the Dominican Republic personnel, as well as
acquisition of extensive commodities and services. Projects often also include major
remodeling or renovation of office spaces, organizing logistical activities associated with the
project deliveries to the GODR, organizing programmatic related training events to be
conducted locally and acting as liaison between the INL Office and a variety of host government
entities. The incumbent acts as the Project Coordinator in his/her absence and monitors and
reports on all local developments that affect the INL CBSI projects. The position will focus on
the $10 million Law Enforcement and Counter-narcotics portfolios, but will also back up the
remainder of the country’s million portfolio.
