The OST Middle School Program Director will be responsible for the overall development, implementation, supervision, and evaluation of the OST Middle School Program at Tech International Charter. The OST Director will be the main point of contact for school staff, and is responsible for all documentation and required reporting to DYCD. This is a year-round position.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinate all aspects of OST programming, including outreach and recruitment, intake and registration, activity and curriculum development, and supervision of daily activities, students, and staff.
Oversee administrative responsibilities, including contract compliance, quarterly reporting, fiscal operations, other program specific documentation, and program evaluation methods.
Maintain strong communication and collaboration with the principal and key school staff so as to align the program activities with school day learning; participate in school-based committees as needed.
Ensure OST Program compliance with DYCD, DOE, and SACC License requirements.
Provide direct supervision for all program staff and volunteers, including teachers/group leaders, group assistants, program assistant, literacy specialist, consultants, interns, etc.
Maintain collaborative relationships with community based agencies, other schools, and in-house school staff who regularly refer students.

Engage, build relationships with, and provide appropriate behavior management and supervision for youth via daily program activities designed for the Middle School grades.
Oversee the implementation of parent engagement activities, such as parenting groups, workshops, and participant centered events.
Perform other duties as assigned, including summer program assignments, and other needs of the larger KHCC Youth Services Department.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Education or Human Services field, with strong experience in supervision of youth development programs.
Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience working with young people in a youth development or educational setting.
Strong administrative track record, including MS Office Computer proficiency, effective written and verbal communication, and strong organizational and time management skills.
Must have or complete site supervisor training requirements for New York State SACC license.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) encouraged to apply
