Basic function of position:
The incumbent acts as the primary point of contact for all routine and preventive maintenance
Work orders and requests for services. Coordinates all work between requester, mission staff,
Responsible maintenance shops, service contractors and vendors. Generates daily status
Reports for the facility manager on work order progress. Works with the facility manager to
Establish work scheduling and priorities. In the absences of an administrative assistant,
Performs administrative duties for the facility manager and is the responsible time and
Attendance point of contact for the maintenance section.

Salary: ordinarily resident (or): rd$395,645 p.a. (starting salary)

The u.s. embassy in santo domingo is seeking an individual for the position of work order
Clerk in the facilities maintenance section.

Qualifications required

All applicants must address each selection criterion detailed below with specific and
Comprehensive information supporting each item.

1. Completion of high school is required.

2. Minimum of two years of experience working as an administrative assistant or within an
Office environment that provides a customer related service and environment are required. 2

3. English level iii (good working knowledge) (speaking/reading/writing) and spanish level
Iv (fluent) (speaking/reading/writing) are required.

4. General knowledge of facility maintenance, commercial property infrastructure, facility
Maintenance contractors and practice are required.

5. Computer, numerical and communication skills are required.

6. Ability to write basic correspondence in english and spanish are required.
