General Manager

Job description
The general manager is responsible for the overall operation and administration of the amber cove cruise center and all its facilities in Bahia de Maimom and meeting its goals and objectives. Provide direction and support to all personnel on location.
Ensure that the facility maintains high level of public health and safety, profitability and quality experience acceptable to management.
Reports to the director port development of global port and destination development for Carnival Corporation based in Miami.

Experience
Prior multiyear cruise line experience including onboard and or management roles at large scale hotel resort properties.
Undergraduate college degree or equivalent experience required.
Experience and strong knowledge of cruise line industry and maritime operations
Operational management experience
Familiarity with public health and safety experience
Budgeting and financial management, including the ability to interpret and analyze financial reports
Familiarity with retail operations and property management.
History of project management, leadership and management.

Strong sense of ethics and integrity in business
Customer oriented
Ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Analytical decision making acumen
Experience working with governmental entities and agencies at all levels
Experience working in a large corporate environment
Ability to recognize potential areas of risk and to make recommendations to rectify.
Strategic thinking as well as well organized, detail oriented and accurate
Fully bilingual English Spanish

For over 26 years I have been managed a convencional and all inclusive hotel operations and maritime traffic, with vast knowledgement in hotel operation, finacial management, sales and marketing for hotel operation with touroperators, foods and beverages for boths hotel operations, abilities to anlyzes and interprest finacial reports,opening a new projects, vast knowledgement in dominican leboul laws, training a recluitment new staffs, opening new hotel and tourist project.
All my experiences have been made in Dominican Republic and Cancun, Quintana Roo Estate Mexico.

My experiences en Maritime traffic , shores excursions and foods and beverages operation for cruise´s passages was when I was hired by Bahia Cruise Services Limited as Island Manager for its operation in the Cayo Levantado Island in Samana Dominican Republic.
